Kapamilya star Coco Martin continues to get praise for his performance in the ABS-CBN primetime series “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”

Surigao del Norte Rep. Ace Barbers recently endorsed Martin as a “celebrity advocate for a drug-free Philippines,” citing his effective portrayal of police officer Cardo Dalisay.

Barbers filed House Resolution No. 358 to formally recognize the efforts of “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” in presenting relevant and controversial issues such as illegal drugs and corruption.

“’FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ exposes the network of drug syndicates including the scalawags in uniform while also revealing the struggles of the white knights of law enforcement units,” said Barbers in the House resolution.

“The TV series highlights the role of the family and the community, particularly the barangay official in helping law enforcements identify and apprehend the criminal elements.”

Martin took to social media to express his gratitude for the recognition
