KIDAPAWAN CITY, Mar 26 (Mabuhay) – Authorities nabbed a 22-year-old man after yielding explosives at a check point in Toril, Davao City on Good Friday.

Supt. John Meredel Calinga, Kidapawan City police chief, confirmed the arrest of Roy Bulat-ag Moreno, a resident along Sinsuat Street.

Moreno was on a passenger van passing through a Task Force Davao checkpoint on Friday evening when he was caught in possession of two improvised explosive devices (IEDs), bomb components, and a hand grenade, Calinga said.

“We are still conducting a background check on the suspect,” Calinga said.

Investigators have been dispatched to gather more information about the suspect from his parents, relatives, and friends, he added.

Moreno is being held for further investigation by the Davao City police.(MNS)
