3rd Traditional Holy Week Pabasa in Historic Filipinotown March 24-25

Los Angeles – The FILAM International-USA, The Philippine Institute of Language, Arts and Culture (PILAC) and the Filipino American Service Group Inc (FASGI)  cordially invite everyone  to the 3rd Year of “The Pabasa” – the Filipino cultural tradition of reading The Holy Bible Reading by singing in Pilipino during the Holy Week.

The Pabasa (Bible Reading By Singing) sa FASGI will be held  from March 24 and will start at 10 a.m. to March 25 at the Filipino American Service Group Inc. (FASGI) headquarters located at 135 N. Parkview St. Los Angeles, CA 90026.

The Filipino holy tradition of The Pabasa will be held non-stop from Holy Thursday beginning at 9 a.m. and will end on March 25 Holy Friday at around 3 p.m.

Call for Contributions and Donations
Meanwhile, organizers are calling on all Filipinos who want to participate as readers, singers and to support the event. They are also call on people and organizations to contribute cash or in kind or send their donations of food, snacks, water or refreshments for the two days of bible reading.

But you are asked to please not bring any meat because not eating meat is part of the holiday of obligation or abstinence.
